Good Character & Citizenship programs support all club members as they learn responsibility, respect, accountability, and listening skills while developing leadership skills.
The BGCY hosts The Cub Scouts program for male members ages 8, 9, and 10 years old that helps them develop a sense of teamwork, achievement, self-confidence and respect for others. The activities encourage character development, physical coordination, family unity, and enthusiasm for learning. Cub Scouts encourages each boy to strive for his personal best, a lesson that will help him achieve success as he enters Boy Scouting—and throughout his adult life.
Teen program that helps high school students establish a foundation of healthy relationships and strong character with the goal to build and sustain committed marriages and strong families in the future. Its programs encourage students to become other-centered as opposed to self-centered and to acknowledge that their decisions not only affect their own lives but others around them.
The Passport to Manhood program encourages responsibility in male Club members ages 11 to 18. The weekly program concentrates on a specific aspect of character and manhood through highly interactive activities representing an effort to engage young males in discussions and activities that reinforce character, leadership and positive behavior.
The SMART Girls program is a health, fitness, prevention/education and self-esteem enhancement program for girls ages 8 to 18. SMART Girls offers young women guidance toward healthy attitudes and lifestyles, eating right, staying fit, getting good health care and more.
Torch Clubs are chartered, small-group leadership and service clubs for members ages 11 to 13. Torch Club members learn to work together to implement activities in four areas: service to Club and community; education; health and fitness; and social recreation.
